NORTH YORKSHIRE COMMUNITY MESSAGING:
Fires set deliberately have a significant effect on the local economy, damage the environment, destroy property, and can, in the worst cases, take someone’s life. Over recent days Police Officers have attended several calls about youths setting fire to grassland across the Selby district. We are appealing to parents to please educate your child on the potential dangers this causes, especially with the drier conditions we are currently seeing. If you have any information about these incidents then please contact us via our force control room, or alternatively you can share your information anonymously to CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. |
