After a break in August, Burn Parish Council is holding its first meeting of the autumn this coming Thursday, 25 September – 7pm in Burn Chapel schoolroom. Everyone is welcome and the agenda can be viewed on this website under the Parish Council section.
Some dates for your diary…there will be a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Burn Chapel on Saturday 27 September, 10am – 12 noon. A chance to catch up after the summer with friends and neighbours over coffee and cake – and raise money for this vital charity.
Saturday 25 October 10am – 1pm – AUTUMN FAYRE at Burn Chapel – refreshments, stalls (cards, cakes, woodwork, crafts, candles, tombola and more). Tombola prizes most welcome – please contact Christine on 270308.
Remembrance will be celebrated at Burn Chapel and at the war memorials on Sunday 9 November – from 10am in the chapel and from 10.45 approx at the memorials.
And we haven’t forgotten Christmas! More details to come but pencil in Saturday 29 November for the Chapel Christmas Tree Festival with refreshments and seasonal music from Paula Marie, The Vintage Vocalist, followed by the lights switch-on at around 4.45pm on the ‘village green’. Sunday 14 December from 3.45pm approx., a special visitor will be touring the village in his sleigh – with carols and treats!
