Well done once again, Burn! It was a fantastic turn-out to send our much-loved postie Myles on his route to retirement.
Big thanks to all Burn residents who came along to the chapel on Sat 12 April to celebrate Myles’ 36 years in Burn (40 years as a postman) – and to the chapel – and helpers/contributors of cakes – for making it a very special village occasion.
Myles will be much missed, but we hope to see him from time to time as he’s promised to ‘not be a stranger’ and we hope our little parting gift (around £450+) helps him and his wife Debbie enjoy their favourite hobby – walking and the great outdoors!
NEXT ON THE BURN AGENDA – watch out for the ‘pails of seed packets’ on Easter Sunday hanging up around the village for you to take a pack or two and plant for summer flowering – and you may spot an Easter Bunny too – and bacon butties in the chapel on Easter Monday, 9-12 noon.
